Where were you born?
London, England.
What is your ethnicity?
Welsh/English.
How do people look and dress where you live?
London has people from so many different countries, so everyone dresses differently and has a different look.
Do you think the city you live in has influenced your preferences in men?
Yes, because I've had the opportunity to see what other cultures are like and find out what I'm looking for in a relationship.
Do you value what your family has to say about the boys you decide to be with?
Yes, I trust their judgement.
Which is more important: looks or personality?
Personality. At the end of the day you're not going out with a face, you're going out with a person.
Is a person of high status more attractive?
No, as long that status doesn't affect their personality. Someone of the same class might have the same interests as me, but so can someone in a "lower" class.
What character traits do you look for in a guy?
Sense of humor, sense of style, well-traveled, same music taste- that would be good.
How do you define beauty?
Beauty is being a good person, doing great things, and looking fabulous at the same time.

The questions I chose made it easy to receive answers that would help our group in reaching a conclusion. After reviewing what my subject had to say, I realized that yes, the environment Isis is in and the culture she is from both have a lot to do with what she looks for in a mate. London is a city rich in diversity, so naturally Isis doesn't consider status to be of greater importance than, say, personality. Oddly enough, her answers contradict the Darwinian perspective completely. Darwin would say that looks are more important than personality, because at the end of the day, good looks correlate to good health. Personality won't make strong children, but good skin will ensure that a child is healthy enough to survive in the world. The article I chose, "Cross-cultural Effects on Color," accepts that there is some variation in what women look for in men. For example, some women prefer a masculine face shape, while others like a more feminine one. In short, there are many factors, other than our genes, that influence what we consider attractive.
