The person I interviewed goes by the name of Eduardo Machon. He is a 17-year old boy who attends Ulysses Grant high school; El Salvador in specific is his where his parents are from. Throughout the entirety of my interview, my main goal was to break down his perception of beauty, whilst asking how he arrived at his overall answer. In addition, I wanted to delve deep into his beliefs and morals by questioning him about his personal expectations for a significant other. As a result, the data I compiled allowed me to define the true meaning of beauty if I, myself were in Eduardo's shoes. Throughout the interview, I asked questions such as...
What do you expect from your significant other?
"I expect my significant other to be educated, supportive, well-mannered, and organized."
How do you define beauty as a whole?
"When defining beauty, I examine ones physical traits as well as their inner personality."
When questioning Eduardo for the reasoning behind his answer, he stated that "I judge an individuals internal traits when defining beauty because I seek after a significant other who I can relate to, in order to connect with that person and ultimately secure a strong relationship.
How does your culture define beauty?
"My culture looks for an individual who is respectful, well-behaved, caring, and mature."
According to Eduardo, his culture prefers these traits due to the fact that "it is a recipe for a strong and well-balanced relationship."
It is important for your significant other to be family oriented?
"Yes, that is a very pivotal trait that factors into the success of a relationship in my opinion. Family orientation would allow both me and my significant other to grow closer to one another; both of our families would connect with each other to a greater extent, strengthening our overall bond.

After asking Eduardo a couple more questions, I arrived at a conclusion; beauty as a whole according to both Eduardo and his cultural background (El Salvadorian) consists of 4 main traits: An organized, respectful, mature, and family oriented individual. Regardless of what his culture finds desirable, Eduardo's personal views do not clash with his cultures due to the fact that he embraces the same ideals.
